"Liselotte:"
Customer Review: "5 out of 5 Stars. I had the pleasure of meeting Shenna and was so taken by her enthusiasm for the creative process. I looked at all her assemblages and had a difficult time deciding which piece I wanted…there were so many. I finally chose Liselotte simply because I love deer. Liselotte is now in the foyer of my home — the first decorative item you see as you enter. In terms of logistics, Liselotte was impeccably packed and arrived before the expected date. Couldn’t be more professional. ❤️" Susan Hunt, Tucson, Arizona, July 2021.

Custom Dog Piece, "Shakespeare:"
Customer Review: "My mother commissioned Shenna to create a piece to give me for my birthday, telling her only that I loved theater – particularly Shakespeare. My goodness… what fun I’ve had showing this piece to my friends and admiring it all on my own. Shenna’s process is painstakingly precise and delicate; there is so much to notice, so many substantial details to see in a single piece that you can really get lost in it. If you really love art with an aesthetic and style unique to the artist, then I highly recommend Mrs. Shepard’s work. This has been a truly wonderful gift. Thank you for your wonderful work, Shenna!" Conrad Solomon, Dunstable, Massachusetts, June 2018.
Artist's Description: I used a porcelain salt shaker for the dog's head, a vintage tea tin for the body, antique industrial wood bobbins for the legs, and a metal plumbing joint for the tail to give him a "steampunk" feel. I found various vintage Shakespeare play advertising posters and famous Shakespeare quotes which I decoupaged to the tin. Around his neck is a chain from which dangles a resin skull and a miniature tin onto which I decoupaged a vintage image of a Shakespeare book. Atop his head is a crown made from Victorian-era filigree brass which would have been used to decorate a lampshade. Affixed to his back is a metal and rhinestone "all-seeing" eye.

Custom Cat Piece, "Lord Nelson:"
Customer Review: "I first saw Shenna’s pieces at the Museum of Whimsy in Astoria, Oregon, and fell in love with the stretching cat on display. The museum curator provided Shenna’s contact information. After looking at several available cats, Shenna offered to make one to my specifications. She involved me in every step, showing me options for his head, the tin box, and legs. Lord Nelson came out as regally as our real-life Lord Nelson cat. I can’t say enough about how wonderful it was to work with Shenna! Shenna did her magic and brought him to life!" Evelyn Lenton, Palmdale, California, May 2018.
Artist's Description: Evelyn loved my stretching cat "Wilhemina VandeMew" on view at the Museum of Whimsy in Astoria, Oregon and reached out to me to request that I custom make a piece that had a similar feel but represented her own cat named "Nelson." She sent me photos of Nelson and I designed this piece to be representative of her cat. I hunted on e-bay for the cat head (which is a porcelain egg cup) and body (which is a vintage hand-painted and signed Towle tin box). The tail is a metal coat hook and the legs are black-stained Victorian-era industrial wood bobbins. His front paws are represented by furniture castors. I then made him a Lordly hat using wood, black stain, and various brass embossed embellishments (including an oil lamp part).

"I had the pleasure of seeing many of the artist’s pieces at the American Folk Art Museum in NYC in December. They were all so charming and engaging, it was difficult to choose which one to purchase. Love the piece I bought in NY, but kept thinking about the others. When I saw this delightful piece on Etsy I knew I’d love it. Photos don’t really do these creations justice. This is art that warms the heart. I can’t help but smile every time I look at my collection." Pups in Tow purchased at American Folk Art Museum and Rhinestone Cowgirl purchased off Etsy shop, ShenVintageCreations:
