My new interactive website is finally ready. YAY! I realize that there may be some glitches, misspellings, grammatical errors, etc. since I created this myself on weebly.com. I appreciate any comments that are constructive in improving my site. The great news is that I picked a site building company that I would recommend as quite user friendly and allows me to constantly edit and improve my website.
I would call myself a self-taught folk artist. I never had any real formal art training except for classes I took in school as a child and young adult in such mediums as stained glass, metal work, quilting, drawing, sculpture, etc. I have crocheted and knitted off and on throughout my life. I also made and sold some 3D collage wall art when I was a teenager at craft fairs on the Stanford University campus where I grew up. I just launched this business in March 2014 and never would have dreamed that I would experience the level of creativity, productivity and appreciation from others that I have enjoyed in the past few months. I am so excited to share with you my ongoing journey of ups and downs, successes and difficulties, interests and learning experiences. I live in an 1884 Victorian home in the countryside and it has brought me much joy to design elements of the interior and to decorate and furnish this beautiful home so full of character and history. I also created country gardens surrounding our house. I am blessed with a very short commute because both my artist studio and my psychology practice are in my home! I hope to use this blog as a means of sharing my life with you as both a person and as an artist. I also would like to share tips and crafting projects periodically as well. I plan on developing a newsletter which would be disseminated once per month to those who are interested. Thanks so much for visiting my website and for reading my blog!

AuthorI am 61 years old, a wife of 30 years, a mother of a wonderful and independent 23-year-old daughter, a clinical psychologist who treats adults in private practice, and last, but definitely not least, an artist. Whew! That was a mouth full. My passion is creating one-of-a-kind whimsical sculptural animals, dolls, and cake toppers (with a little multi-media collage thrown in for good measure). I hope you enjoy my creations as much as I enjoy making them! Archives
