This tune, "Kokun Hala Tenimde" was composed by Toygar Isikli for the Turkish drama series, "Kara Sevda," (translated by many as Endless Love) about star-crossed lovers in modern-day Istanbul. The series aired in Turkey from 2015-2017 and won several awards. It stars Burak Ozcivit and Neslihan Artugul as the lovers. This piano arrangement was created through an informal collaboration between myself and Roxana Elena Belibou who I found on YouTube (please make sure to check out her site on YouTube! She is a very talented pianist and has created a plethora of her own piano arrangements). I had asked her to create a score of the tune and then after I received it, I altered half of it, so this is the amalgam of our two efforts. Roxana then rewrote the score for me to reflect the changes! Here is the original tune from the series from YouTube, which inspired the piano arrangement:
And here is our piano arrangement (this is posted on YouTube):
And for those of you who may be interested in playing this rendition, here is the score:

hanks for sharing the article, and more importantly, your personal experience of mindfully using our emotions as data about our inner state and knowing when it’s better to de-escalate by taking a time out are great tools. Appreciate you reading and sharing your story since I can certainly relate and I think others can to

This blog page represents my own original compositions as well as piano arrangements created off of others' tunes. I took 7 years of piano lessons throughout my childhood and have played off and on in my adult life. My piano is an 1884 Ivers & Pond Upright Grand, made in Boston, which I had refinished and rebuilt about 24 years ago.
